Our Story Begins

In the small mountain village of Prezza, located in the Providence di L'Aquila of the Abruzzo region of Italy where Antonio Dominic Sandonato met Yolanda Rosa Maria Giovannucci and fell in love. They married in July 24, 1939 and had 5 children during their marriage. Surviving famine, WW2 and losing 2 of their young children. They fought for a better future and immigrated to America in 1954, settling in Boston, MA.

One of Perry's best restaurants. We were pleased at the quality of the dishes we chose. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. The Flatbread was filled with meats and veggies, and the Limon Cello Cake was a delicious dessert. Jess, our server, was top notch, checking on us often even though she was very busy. We will definitely eat there again when we are in Perry.

Best Italian food EVER. Hands down. (Everyone else may exit stage left.) Mama’s “Family” really lived up to their name. The fabulous staff immediately greeted us and made us feel like part of their family. After being a server over 20 years, I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to wait staff. Our server was FANTASTIC and exceeded my expectations. Kind, attentive, and her knowledge of menu offerings were very impressive. The Manager Gina even made time to take wonderful care of us and ensure everything was perfect. A great Chef once told me that you go back to a restaurant because something on their menu is “crave-able”. After having the best pasta dish of my life, crawfish dip I’m sure to dream about, and baby clams with a sauce I would gladly swim in; I can confidently say that this entire menu is just that. Crave-able. I’m not sure how they found the best BACK and FRONT of the house employees; but they must be protected at all cost. Thanks to the owner and entire staff that that made our meal beyond memorable. ❤️

Very good Italian food. The sauce is somewhat sweet with a touch of fennel. The chicken parmesan was hot and crispy over a bed of penne pasta with a cover of mozzarella cheese. The lasagna was also very good and we ordered a couple of meatballs to go with the leftovers. We got side salads and delicious garlic bread sticks. Great service in a classic family style restaurant.
